April 8, 2010 -- Winnetka Talk
The Winnetka Caucus is seeking residents to represent Winnetka School District 36 on the New Trier Caucus, which slates candidates to serve on the New Trier School Board. The Winnetka Caucus hopes to interview interested residents this month, according to a Caucus statement. The New Trier Caucus comprises 46 residents from each village within the township. Ten of those spots will be filled by Winnetka residents, and the village may assign two alternates. The nominating committee hopes to select both long-time and new residents, and parents of current, past and prospective New Trier students.
The New Trier Caucus will meet nine times (during the evening) beginning in the fall. The group intends to select School Board candidates by the end of November. Meeting attendance is strictly enforced, according to the statement.
To apply, residents may contact Katie Stevens, chair of the New Trier Nominating Committee,
at (847) 784-8477.
